The “Lion of Iran” Takes Charge

Known as the “Lion of Iran,” Gholamreza Mazandarani has been appointed as the new coach of U Mumba for season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League. He holds the distinction of being the first international coach in the league. His previous coaching stint with U Mumba in season 6 saw the team qualify for the playoffs. In season 7, he took charge of the Telugu Titans.

International Success with Iran

Mazandarani is also at the helm of the Iran Kabaddi team at the Asian Games, where he has achieved remarkable success. Under his leadership, Iran secured its first-ever gold medal in 2018. In the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup, his guidance led Iran to a silver medal. In season 10, expectations are high that he will lead the U Mumba team to a strong position.
