Shrikant Jadhav was born on December 25 in Dahigaon, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. He was born into a middle-class farming family. He has been interested in Kabaddi since he was a child. 

Shrikant Jadhav, Early Life

Growing up, he had a difficult childhood. His father used to run a small shop to feed his family. He has been playing since childhood. His parents insisted on his studies, as Kabaddi was not a career option at that time and was played as a side sport. However, he followed his dreams, and now he is among the finest players in Kabaddi.

As a young boy, Shrikant fell in love with Kabaddi after watching Arjuna Awardee Pankaj Shrisat play. In his early years of school, he started playing at the district level and polished his game. At the age of 16, he represented Maharashtra in the National Level Championship.

Shrikant Jadhav, Pro Kabaddi League Career

He started his professional career in 2009, when he went to Mumbai to learn Kabaddi. In 2013, Shrikant began his professional career in Kabaddi, representing Vidharba at the national level championship. His impressive performance caught the attention of the Pro Kabaddi League teams. He started his career in the pro Kabaddi league with season 3 in 2016. He played five matches in season 3 for the Bengal Warriors
